FAQ
Straight answers
Will it make money for me?
We cannot promise that, and nobody honestly can. Workably builds the product, puts it online and does the outreach. Whether people buy depends on the idea, the price, the market and timing. Many new businesses earn nothing. Start on the Free plan and treat any paid plan as a cost you can afford to lose.
Who holds my money?
You do. Customers pay into the Stripe or PayPal account you connect, and payouts follow that provider's schedule. Workably never receives or holds your sales funds and takes 0% commission. You are the seller, so refunds, taxes and disputes for your sales are yours to handle.
Is cold email legal?
It depends on the country of the person receiving it. Some countries allow business outreach with an opt-out, others require consent before the first message. By default we block recipients in countries that require prior consent. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and your sender address, and purchased lists are not allowed. You remain responsible for the email sent in your name. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
What is a partition?
It is your own private space on our servers: a disk, a database and a subdomain such as yourname.workably.dev. Your sites and data live there, separated from other customers. Size depends on your plan.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want in plain language and review what the team produces. If you do code, the files are in your partition and you can export them.
How much do I have to do myself?
You make the decisions: which idea to pursue, whether a site goes public, whether outreach goes out. The team does the production work and reports daily. On Pro, Autopilot mode lets the team continue without waiting for each approval. You are still responsible for what your company publishes and sends, so read the reports.
Is everything written by AI?
Yes. The ideas, sites, emails, posts and support replies are generated by AI models, and they can be wrong. The Auditor catches some mistakes, not all. Please review anything important before it reaches your customers.
Can I leave and take everything with me?
Yes. You can export your site, content and data at any time, and cancel whenever you like. Your Stripe and PayPal accounts are yours already, so your customers and payment history stay with you.
